A tribute to Our FoundersIn 1974 four women came together with an idea to organize the Williston Historical Society. Elaine Radcliffe, Myrtle Lane, Rhoda Stultz, and Louisa Matthews (Judge) founded the WHS to be used and enjoyed for generations to come. Since then the collection has grown and has been enriched immensely. Hundreds of books, photos, post cards, personal papers, artifacts, and town papers have accumulated over the past three decades giving Williston a great deal to peruse in understanding and appreciating its heritage and history. Tereza Kulatá, a sixteen year old from the Moravian town of ternberk in the Czech Republic, was contacted about drawing the portraits of our four WHS founders. She was glad to do the drawings and has done an outstanding job with them. We are grateful to have had the ground-breaking spirit of our founders and grateful to Miss Kulatá for her good work.
